About Homestay program:

Japan Homestay is a brand with over 18 years of experience in the educational services market in Japan.

Since 2003, we have been able to successfully organize English lessons for local Japanese students all across the nation. When it comes to language learning, we  assure you that you will have a great Japanese lesson experience that you won’t forget.

Why join our program?

The essential goal of the program is for you to learn the Japanese language in a Japanese environment, from native teachers, and through immersion during your stay with your host family. You will be able to experience the culture closely, as a family member instead of as a simple tourist.

Besides the Japanese language lessons, you have the option to take part in different programs with your host family to get to know the Japanese culture more in depth, and create amazing memories in Japan.

Examples of optional activities include the Japanese Tea ceremony, Ikebana (Japanese flower arrangement), Shodo (Japanese calligraphy), sightseeing trips, and Japanese cooking classes.

The only requirement is that you have to be above 18 years old.  As as the age of majority in Japan is 20 year old, participants below 20  must be accompanied by a chaperone of legal age for the duration of the trip.

The base duration of the homestay is one week. However, if requested, the period of stay can be extended (additional fees will apply).

Additionally, the total period of stay must be within visa validity.  Japan is becoming more and more popular as a travel destination every year, and a lot of people are coming to experience the uniqueness and hospitality of Japanese people.
